feels like home to me...

Over the past three weeks, I have been lucky to have been in "The Pines." The Pines is the place that I call home... Aberdeen, to be exact; but The Pines is all that matters. I can't even begin to think about how life would be had I not grown up here and all I can think about is just how lucky I am to be one of the lucky ones to call this place home!

We all grow up. We graduate from Pinecrest or Union Pines or O'Neal and leave at age 18 thinking that we know everything we will ever need to know. We're on top of the world. We can't wait to get out... We want to see everything else and all claim that we can't wait to get out of this boring small town. We all go seperate places and we all go our own ways. We change. We grow up. We're different now. However, the one thing that is all the same back... we just keep coming back to "The Pines" for more. It's like we just can't get enough. I can't get enough, I know.

I don't know what it is about this place. Maybe I love it just because it's home... However, I know there are other reasons that it means the world to me. It's the 2am conversations at O'Donnell's and random nights at the bowling alley... It's latenight Cookout. It's just being with the people I love. It's Sizzlin' and Mac's and Vito's. It's driving down Morganton Road with the windows down and the music up... It's just something special that always brings us back.

Life is good right now... I hope that you are blessed at your "home" right now as well.
